Wow, 2010 has started off wonderful for our family. We got our tax situation with the IRS resolved after many years of it hanging over our heads. It was resolved to our satisfaction. With my husband having been self-employed for many years, this is a HUGE, HUGE blessing to have this situation off of us after so long. I would like to interject here for anyone out there who might be in our shoes, there are so many commercials on TV of firms offering to settle your tax debt for pennies on the dollar. What they don't tell you in the commercials is they charge a huge fee for this service and this is something you can do yourself. You don't need a tax firm like this to handle this for you. We just stayed in touch with the IRS and let them know of any changes in our income. They saw we were trying and finally just wrote the rest of it off. That could only be a God thing!
