The Very Epitome of Adorable!

My great nephew, Brice. I am soooooooooooo attached to this baby! He keeps us laughing all the time with his cute little antics. Thanks to everyone for the Valentines Day wishes. I spent a nice quiet day with my family, which was very enjoyable. My son came over too so we were all together, which made it all the more special. We bought our daughter a new comforter and curtains and a few accessories for her room. Will post pics when we get it pulled together. Blessings! Susan

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!~

Community Photo Challenge-Transportation

DAYS GONE BY-I took this photo of this steam engine at a local festival called the Syrup Soppin'. It is an annual event that takes place in a nearby town called Loachapoka, AL every October.

The Coolest Photo Ever!

Dear Journal, We got three inches of snow today! I so enjoyed taking photos/videos of it. I took this pic standing inside my back door looking out the diamond-shaped window. If I do say so myself, I think it turned out pretty cool. I took videos of my dog playing in the snow and of a little stream that formed due to all the moisture we have had lately. I even took a video of a spider crawling around on top of the snow. The only thing that could have made it better would have been if my kids had been outside to enjoy it with me. My son lives in the next town over and didn't come and my daughter, who usually loves the snow never even set foot outside. :( Still, Mary Jane and I had fun tromping (is that a word?) through the snow and I enjoyed watching it fall all day since we rarely have snow this far down south. All in all, it was a great day! Later, Susan

Got To Meet Two J-Land Friends!

Dear Journal, What a great day February 6, 2010 turned out to be! My friend, Susan, has a great pyrenese named Lilly. She has been wanting a second one as a pal for Lilly. My J-Land friend, Terrie, had a puppy, Ellie that she wanted to give away. Susan called me and asked me if I would ride to Terrie's with her to pick up the puppy. I was more than happy to because I had never personally met any of my J-Land friends. I sent Terrie a message through Facebook that I would be coming with Susan. When we arrived at Terrie's, Terrie said she had asked Celeste, another J-Land friend, to come over so she could meet me as well. That was an unexpected surprise. I got to see Terrie's goats and meet Jake and Lucy (two of her great pyrenese) and see the roosters and chickens and meet Pat, Celeste's Hubby and Terry's Hubby as well. We stood around talking for a bit (it was freezing in Chicamauga, GA) and our toes were frozen, but I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet Cel

To Brighten Your Day!

February Ramblings

Dear Journal, February has started off on a very good note. My Hubby got the job! Woo Hoo! I am so grateful for all of the wonderful blessings of 2010! We kept my sweet great nephew, Brice, yesterday. He is the only great on my side, period, but I have many on my Hubby's side. How blessed am I? Brice is such a precious little baby at 13 months, and I am extremely attached to him. Please pray for his Mommy and Daddy that they will come to know the Lord in a mighty way and that God will put a hedge of protection around this sweet little angel to protect him from evil and harm. The photo is my beautiful daughter, Carrie, holding my adorable great nephew, Brice. He is such a treasure and a joy to keep. It was such a beautiful day here today with mild temps. Been busy organizing all of my sheet music. I have missed playing. I got it out of storage the other day when we were reorganizing our storage shed. I don't play the piano very well, but I can play well enough to suit myself.
